Imagine it just for a minute. The man who raised little Jesus, has the list of guests in one hand, and the keys to the gate on the other. And like a common bouncer, says to you : “this is an invitation only affair.” “And you’re not on the list”
It seems like a menial job for the man who spent his days running after little Jesus and cleaning his dippers. Teaching him how to milk goats, and whatever it was he taught him.
Who wouldn’t be scared shitless to whack the son of God on his bum ? That’s probably why they gave him the position.
